You Already Have the Skills. Here’s How to Articulate Them!

Here is something nobody says out loud: The biggest AI risk for women is not falling behind on technology. It’s the gap between the value you carry every single day and your ability to name it when it counts.

You already have skills AI can’t replicate. 

•	Stakeholder trust.

•	The judgment call that requires relationship and history.

•	The ability to read a room before a word is spoken.

But most of us were never trained to talk about those things in a way that truly made a difference to the trajectory of our careers. That is the gap AI is making urgent. And it is the one we are focused on this month.

The Articulation Gap. What AI is Actually Exposing 

There’s a pattern emerging with the women we work with and it has nothing to do with what they are capable of but everything to do with how they showcase and even articulate what makes them exceptional. 

Many of us were trained to deliver. The all too familiar scenario of promotions, recognition, and raises going to the people who “produced” results. Even though we were all thinking “we are doing so much more than they are, why didn’t we get it?”. The truth is simple, very few of us were taught the visibility language to actually call out our results in a clear and impactful way. 

Before AI, things moved slower and loyalty was rewarded. In an AI-accelerated workplace, the professionals who are thriving are not the most technical. They are the ones who can say clearly what they bring that a model never could.

And that requires language. Specific, grounded, and practiced.

Here is the hard truth: AI is not coming for the woman who holds a room, reads what is unspoken, and makes the call that no dataset can make. But it will absolutely sideline the woman who has never learned to name those things out loud.

A 10 Minute Exercise That Could Change Everything

Try this this week. Open any AI tool and insert this prompt.  

It will give you a list. Similar to this: 

•	Stakeholder trust

•	Culture reading

•	Ethical judgment

•	The kind of judgment that requires history, relationship, and context that no model holds

Now do one more thing. Take the list and write one sentence about yourself for each item on it.

Not a framework. Not a template. Your words. Your examples. Your voice. 

The list is your starting point. The work is making it yours.
